2020 Reading List
This reading list is based on the 52 book challenge, in which the goal is to read a book per week. With that said, we want to encourage people to read more, regardless of their availability, reading speed, or lifestyle. If you commit to reading a book a month, or a book every two weeks, that's fantastic. Every year, Josh Mauthe and Dietrich Stogner will select a list of 75 books (52 books plus alternates). These are books that we both agree are some of the absolute best, not just in their genres, but in the entire bookstore.
We're selecting one book from each author, and we're going to work to get a wide range of styles and genres. If you have suggestions, we'd love to hear them, and we'll consider including them in next year's reading list. Also, and I can't stress this enough, READ OUTSIDE OF YOUR USUAL. If you're a big fantasy reader, spend some time with the noir novels. If you only read "literary" books, stop, and read some of the best genre has to offer. The entire goal is discovering something new.
P.S. We're posting this in October of 2019 because we just launched this podcast, and there's not enough time in the year to do a 2019 list. If you want to add on some books and roll it into next year, that's great. If you want to get a jump on 2020, that's great too.
